2005 IMLA Region 3B Educator of the Year
Jewel Maine This person has been active in the Idaho Middle School Level Association for many years. She was part of the group that got the IMLA started. This person hardly ever misses an IMLA conference and encourages the others on our staff to attend. This person is the reason why we are here today. This person is the one who makes sure we have a cheer no matter whether we want to or not or how corny it may seem, and does not take no for an answer. This person was our special education teacher for many years, and did it single-handed with only help from some students during the lunch period. I don’t know if it was the paper work that got to this person or whether they just wanted a change from it all. This person moved to teach 6th grade, and is currently still there. This person headed up our summer school program this past summer, which included organizing the staff, getting incentives, calling for subs, making up a schedule and handling discipline problems. This person when asked to do it, she does it and does it well. This person gives 110% or more for the Fruitland Middle School and to the IMLA. This person is our wonderful and most dedicated teacher, Jewel Maine. Congratulation Jewel! |
