Mary Vogt

    Mary Vogt of Eagle Middle School received this award in recognition of her commitment to and talent for teaching middle school students.  She has an amazing ability to see every child through rose colored glasses, no matter their learning style, ability, or attitude.  She manages to somehow “hook” them, maybe because of her hilarious sense of humor, her incredibly compassionate side, her infallible consistency, and true command of her subject.  There is never a doubt that when she is with a child, a small group, or whole class that they are not getting 100% of her time, effort, and heart.  Every child is treated with complete respect and dignity while still being held accountable for their behavior and academic expectations.  She is a gift to our profession and deserves this recognition for her incessant labors in the education process.
